They can help clean, but if you are to take it out be careful as they can prick you pretty good.

No point in catching ...if you see one you've probably got plenty others and they are mostly harmless and sometimes beneficial. If you have too many it means your overfeeding. If you want to get rid of some, make a trap out of a cut soda bottle with shrimp for bait...invert the top to make a funnel trap. weigh it down with a rock inside.
