So i moved last month (jan) temp was cold out, but it had to be done. I moved my 125 FOWLR tank first, everything went well, no deaths etc. and everything is up and running as it was before. But my 55g reef tank..... not so much. Ill start out by describing how i did the move. I took out the corals and placed them into buckets and extra tanks with heaters and bubble maker. then i took the water out of the tank as needed, saved 10g of water to be reused at the new place. once the water was out i moved the tank to the new location, set it up and got everything back in it as far as pumps heaters etc. i waited for the water temp to be at 78 and the salt lvl to be at 1.025 before i placed any of my coral in it. once it was set up and at the lvls i would like them to be at, i went and got all the corals and fish. and slowly placed them back in my tank.
Everything looked great for the first week, then i started to notice all the coraline algae on my glass started turning white and flaking off the glass, then my acans were shriveling up (going back into its skeleton) then it was my zoas shriveling up, now my kenya tree. 2nd week, acans are gone. zoas still dont look right, but everything else does. everything else as in... frogspawn, hammer head, dragon soul favia, mushrooms, some montiporas, and a maze brain coral, all which are thriving.
ive been checking my params almost everyday since the move. Nothing seems out of wack to me.

nitrates less than 10
the only thing that was high for a period of time was calcium and it reached to about 500 for some reason but its slowly working its way back down...
If anyone can throw a idea to what may have happen, i would greatly appreciate it as it would give me peace and mind. The only thing i can think of is, when i did such a large water change it actually took some of the good out and didnt put enough good bacteria back in. Or maybe it was too hard of a move and re acclimating the wrong way that it shocked them to their death..
thanks.
