Hello Reefers,
I am wanting to move my 24 gallon setup and livestock to a 40 gallon. The 40 gallon is ready to go wet. I have new dry rock in there because whatever is in the 24 gallon is not gonna be enough to fill it up but I was planning to move the established rock in there on top of that. We are talking about roughly 20lbs of liverock and 15lbs of new dry rock.
Since I am moving my current livestock and coral to a new tank, the only thing changing is new sand and some new dry rock, do I need to take extra steps before just moving them, or should I cycle the tank first in its current state first with the new dry rock before making the move with the livestock?
Any tips here would be much appreciated.
