Moving a 2 spot to the big tank.

I have a 2 spot in my 75.

and I would like to move him to the 240. I has a clown, sailfin and tomini in it now. The clown and sailfin are bigger than the two spot
and the tomini is smaller. Maybe twice as big.

It's all one system so they should smell the same as Lasse suggests.

Is this a really stupid idea?

Your 240 has plenty of places to hide by the looks of things. And it’s huge.

I’d do it. But I’m not going to even pretend behind the keyboard I have any qualification to give advice lol

If I do it it's not likely I will be able to get it out if it goes bad.

I won't say any idea is stupid. I would answer the question with a question ... why do you want to move the two spot?

It can be aggressive with the CBB. I am concerned that once the 3 lions grow up it will be crowded in there.

I'm a little surprised that the lions have not tried to eat the little fella yet.
I do agree with you though, sometimes aggression resolves itself with more real estate.
It sounds like he can have issues, regardless of where it lands. At least in the big tank, there is more room for finding a home in the rock work and staying out of harm's way. If the two spot still wants to be a jerk and tick off the neighbors, it is what it is. You can't say that you didn't try.
I think it's a smart play.

You are not cheering me up. The lions try to eat him and then he gets taken out by an evil clown. It sounds like a bad movie.

I named my koran angel Jerk because he is at times. That's the only fish the clown tang has issues with sometimes.
Well, and the starry blenny who is also a jerk that likes to bite sometimes.

Depending on your clown, I would definitely go acclimation box first

In another thread we decided this is an orange stripe tang. It is in the big tank. I used an acclimation box and it took 2 days.
