Hey guys. Posted a thread earlier today and got a ton of helpful responses and would like to contribute some thing in return.

So I had to move my AIO 45gal cube from my master to the living room and I really did not want to break everything down completely and disconnect a million wires just to move it a hundred feet. So I brainstormed and decided to try out these sliding pads from Home Depot.

I emptied the DT water just so I could lift the tank and stand an inch or so to slip the pads under each corner. Once all four pads were under the stand I could easily slide the entire tank with all my rock and sand undisturbed and all my gear still connected (with the exception of the main power cord to the wall)

it took me a grand total of 15mins to empty the water, move the tank into its new home, and fill it back up.

Things to consider. This move was on the same floor so no stairs, hardwood floors but product claims to work on many surfaces, there were no big lips to overcome but I could see it going over a smooth lip.

hope this is helpful for anyone in the same situation. Happy reefing!
