Ok so I’ve got 5 tanks in the house. I have a 38 gallon cube with a lawnmower blennie in it added him to wipe out gha and he did his job with gusto but my 22 gallon now has a gha outbreak following a byropsis outbreak I know the 22. Is to small for him long term but I’m thinking about moving him from the 38 long enough get the gha under control my question is can I just pull him from the 38 to the 22 or do I need to acclimate him. Both tanks parameters are almost identical I just don’t want to hurt him my kids are very attached to him. But I am at the end of my rope with this dang gha.

Match Temp and salinity( going lower okay, higher to fast... no good)

I have moved fish from one tank to the other a few times (I’ve even done this with inverts). I’ve found that whilst you do have some issues such as hierarchy, it’s actually rather easy to just throw a fish from one tank to the other. As long as your Salinity and Temperature are close enough (1ppt or 1*C in or out is what I say is close enough). However, before resorting to a fish can you figure out the reason why you have this outbreak? For example;
High Phosphates or High Nitrates?

And then try sort them out. If this fails then go for the fish route however you will most likely find it will come back each time until you get to the bottom of the issue.

just swap them i order fish online as don't have a local lfs there water is 1.017 i add them straight to 1.025 never lost a fish doing this can't acclimate them as don't have another tank

Surely you mean 1.027?

When moving fish between tanks I take a bucket with an inch of water from the source tank and the fish, then add half a cup of water from the destination tank every few minutes until I have about 4 inches of water in the bucket, before netting the fish and dropping it into the destination tank. I’m still a bit of a newbie but that’s how my LFS taught me and I haven’t lost any fish yet. I’m told it’s best to keep the acclimation process short for fish - 20/30 minutes max because you don’t want the temperature in the bucket dropping.
