Hi, we have a fluval M60 94L all in one tank in our living room, and I want to move it to our study.

We will have moved the fish already into our new 5 ft which is also in the lounge, so there will only be rock, sand and a few soft corals in the nano.

If we take out half the water into buckets, take the rock out and put in the water in buckets, and then very slowly nudge the tank on the stand across the floor (laminate) into position in the study then add the water and rock back in... will this work?

Are we likely to cause a cycle? Can we add a bottle of Dr Tims or something to help?

Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thank you

I personally would just drain it down all the way to the sand and carry the tank seperately.

Fill it up carefully and see how much got stirred up. Run extra floss and run new carbon plus some gfo.
And yes dr tims is great.

With more water in the tank, it'll slosh and stir more stuff up. IMO.

I just transferred my Biocube from one stand to another. I drained out the water and put the rock, fish, water and corals into buckets, and left the sand with a little bit of water in the tank. Everything was back to normal and fully opened up about 40mins after filling it all back up.
