So I am planning on doing a background of gsp matted on the back of my Im 20g tank. However I will be moving in the future and I am wondering. How do you move a tank with background of gsp without killing it or removing it? Wet paper towel or something like that?

As you can't move a full tank, and can not remove the GSP that's attached to the glass. I offer for your consideration. Purchasing a plastic container, large enough to place your 20 gallon tank into. The tank wont have to fully fit. It would only have to be big enough for the back glass, GSP side, to lay down in. Then fill with water (same water you just removed from the tank) to a reasonable level. When you get where you are going then right the tank. Wipe down the outsides of the glass, Place on stand, And refill. GSP should be fine as it only was out of water a very short time while you placed the tank into the container and when you remove it.

That's a great idea.

Clean towel (no fabric softeners) wet in old tank water laying on top. It's not a big tank so no worry to lay it on its side for transport as long as the glass is protected from impact and pressure points.

Thats what I was thinking

man, it's GSP. 1) why? 2) nothing besides fenbendozole kills that stuff, so I'm sure a short move won't kill it off. 3) why not wait until your move to grow that devil weed?
