I need help. I am moving back to school at the end of the week and I need some tips/ tricks on how to move my tank. I do not have much in it right now but obviously I want to do it right. Anything will help.

How long has it been set up? What is in it (fish, corals, inverts). If you have sand, it’s easier to ditch it and buy new sand if you can. A livestock list will help give better ideas. How far is your move?

I've only had it up and running for about a month. Only fish are 2 cardinalfish and 1 firefish. I have a zoa frag and a GSP rock. It really isnt much at all.

Only moving 3 hours away so it is pretty close

I would siphon tank water to buckets to hold your rocks and coral. Siphon some in bags or something for your fish. Then clean out the sand to cups and rinse with RODI before setting back up. Your sand is new enough it should rinse easy.

Ok , so 50 gl tank right? You plan on taking the water with you? See if there is water available ( LFS). Would make the move easier. Your going to have a cycle of some kind. so have some amquel or such on hand . can Ya make the drive early or late? don't want anything to warm up too much. Little stuff like that. Don't want to be in a spot where you need something &it all comes to a halt while Ya run to the store.
