Moving and scared......

Congrats on the successful move Steve. How long did it take to relocate all the livestock in their new homes?

Glad to hear everything turned out OK. Im planning a move in a couple of months. Its only about a 40 mile move but im still worried. LOL

You mean how long was the trip? 18-19 hours, got in at 2am sunday morning and i worked on putting the animals in the 33g. It was only half-way full because i didnt have room for all the extra cases of water. The car was PACKED, i had to sit on the floor. Lets say i was a little stressed and had a BIG backache....

Woke up, started making up some water and mixing salt, around 15-20gal throughout the day. Just a small PH was on the tank the whole day. Around dinner i put in 10gal of NSW, gradually, and let it set for about 7 hours. Then i added my new sump, skimmer, and return up, w/ extra LR in a bucket. Put in 10gal more of NSW about an hour ago, no losses of yet but, we'll see. The corals havent seen light for 2 days so tommorrow i plan to add a bit of light during the day. :) Also, around 50+lbs of LR are in the system....

Thats a peice of cake compared to 1100 miles.....:D

I know?!? confuzzled on how they died...

Everything is doing great though, the fish are eating, corals all polyping. German acro wasnt happy and has browned out a bit, but that was expected, as well as some other sps losing some colour.

Tommorrow i plan on adding the new sump, 20g Long. Right now its just the same 10g tank.....i need more room for the skimmer and other equipment i plan on adding on once i put up the 40gbrd in the 33g's place. (month or so..)

confuzzled...lol Did you acclimate the snails slowly? From what I understand, snails can be uber sensitive to changes in their surroundings. When are you going to post some pics of your new setup Steve? ;)

i dont think there was a correct way to acclimate anything to be honest, but not a big deal. I got those for 10cents.....:)

Setup is the same. I decided on a 15g for the sump just because i cant afford a 40$ 20g tank..... Once i get enough cash i will setup the breeder and a new skimma...:D

steve.. glad loss is minimal.. pm me addie .. thanks
