So it time to move again, as with the military life, the hard part is taking down the old tank, the fun part is starting a new one with all the ideas that have come along during the old tanks reign.
I have also realized that since I have to move about every three to four years I should invest in mobile type equipment, so the next tank stand will be done in T-Slot aluminum, its light and can be broken down for transport very easily. I will also be using 40 breeders instead of the 150 Acrylic I had set up while here in Tennessee. It was my fist big tank, and I scratched it many a time, as well as my wife. So that will be fixed over time, for when I get out of the military and settle back in Washington state.
Currently plan on doing two 40 breeders side by side, with another breeder as the refugium. 1 breeder will be set up for a display tank with hammer, acans, zoas, and misc, as well as fish. 1 breeder will be all anemone and clowns, hopefully doing anemone propagation out of it, as I have had many anemone split while in my tanks. Lights will be the same as previous set ups, Aqua Illumination Hydra 52, those came along as I had a light fixture failure two days prior to me deploying, which was not a good time. So after contacting A.I. they said I could either send it to them for evaluation and fix or upgrade, to the 52's, I said I would probably upgrade anyways with out the incident, so I did that, but I wasn't able to set them up and use them until I returned from deployment.
I am currently still selling off left over corals from my 150, that have been transferred to a 40 breeder, Set up a transport container for the trip to North Carolina, to be in while I we look for a new place to live and start over. Then find all the clubs and Facebook pages in the area, which so far doesn't seem to be a lot, but still looking. More to follow
