Moving anemone

remove it? nems are going to go where they are the most comfortable. carpets are less likely to move. bta's probably the most. I'm afraid to add a bta because of all the coral I have. I added a hadonni a few months ago. put it on the sand against the base of the rocks and it has not moved.

they move until they are happy. if there is not a place in your tank they will move constantly. I have three BTA in my tank now that havent moved for over a month. one for three months. I also have two rock anemones that havent moved in ages.

agreed....for me as long as i keep my BTA fed and water parameters stable + adequate lighting.... he didn't move as often....my guy was in the same spot for a good 4 months before he decided to take off....he then perched right on top of my monti and killed it

Provide it with the conditions that it requires, and it will stay in place. Those requirements vary with each species of anemone.
