650 miles and a tad over 10 hours. Moving a 125g with sump system. Plan is 2 bag all fish and coral with O2. Tubs with enough water to cover for my rock (air pumps needed?) I'll have 160g of water ready and waiting plus all new sand.

Anything I'm over looking or tips?

I have moved a tank but not that far.

Air pumps would be a good idea but if the water is sloshing a little bit it may not be necessary. Id be a bit more concerned with the temp of the water in the tubs along with the fish in the bags. Are you 'UHAUL'ing or in your POV? or something more elaborate?

Going to rent a van just for the fish.

I made (sorry no pictures) a fish transport bucket with screw on lid and drilled two small 1/4" holes for a battery powered air pump, one for the inlet, the other exhaust. We lost no fish in the transport, Tom (the owner) had larger tangs and assorted fish that bagging was not a good option for us. He wanted to add a inline CO2 scrubber, not a bad idea, but I though it was a bit overkill. Either way good luck with the move!

Has anyone taken the time to upgrade sumps? Wish I had more space than I do in my current 20g sump. Was thinking since I'll be taking down that as long as I planned the other out over the next 6-8 weeks that this would be the perfect time.
