Moving coral to new tank.

I have 1 hammer coral. It’s in a 20g and I want to move to my new 240g. Lights are basically the same.

Do I need to drip acclimate to new tank? Or if the temp and salinity is the same, can I just drop it in?

I have zero coral experience other than this little guy the last few months. Advice appreciated. Thank you!

I would make sure alkalinity calcium and salinity match and if so just drop it in other wise float it in a bag and just do a regular acclimation. drip acclimation isn’t really crucial for lps or sps coral

as long as ur using same salt mix and the 2 tanks' water parameters match, I'd just drop it in. However FYI - when I changed out my sump, few soft corals closed up for few weeks as they did not like the change and were acclimating to the new sump. Ur coral may do the same in new tank.
