I've been battling dinos for, well I stopped counting months now. But I am moving in a week or so and would like some advise on not only the move itself but if it would be a good idea to change out the fine sand riddled with dinos that I have now for something bigger. Or should i keep the sand and just focus on getting everything to the new spot.

I think a move is a good time to change sand beds out. I prefer larger sand size such as Carib Sea Special Grade. Won't blow around as much with good flow and looks nice.

What kind of dinos do you have and what have you tried to get rid of them?

Ive been dealing with primarily large cell amphidinium and have tried everything under the sun to get rid of them. No water changes, blackouts, upping flow, upping nutrients, every bacteria product I've heard of, and have now been dosing waterglass for the last 2 months. But I've always regretted my choice in sand its very fine and blows around and clumps together and wanted some input on changing it with the move and possibly getting rid of the most of the dinos at the same time.

How big is your tank and how much water glass have you been dosing (and how often). Ever do an ICP? Nutrients above 5 NO3 and 0.06 PO4?

I have since continued doing water changes but dose nitrate when needed. I've done one ICP and silicates were up at 5ppm so i dose the same amount (.4ml) but every other day now instead of daily. I planned on another ICP once were settled in the new place. I have 7 tanks to move total but this tank I'm talking about with dinos is only a 32 biocube.
