I am looking to purchase a running 75 gallon set-up with live rock, fish, and a few corals and wonder if anyone has done this before. What's the best way to do this? I am guessing that some large containers for the existing water will be needed. I suppose the current livestock can also be transported in the same containers. How will the move affect the water parameters? Will the fish survive?

I suppose the first question is how far are you planning on moving them. I have not moved mine distance wise but I have changed out a few tanks. You would need to keep the temperature within 4 or 5 degrees. You would also need to make sure that no ammonia builds up in the transport water. I use ice chests with an aerator. You can buy battery operated ones. Maintaining water quality is the most important thing.
