A LFS keeps their fish in a copper system, treated with CopperSafe. If I purchase fish from them, can I immediately put the fish into a QT using CopperPower at the same concentration? I understand the time clock still needs to be reset to zero, but it would cut down on the period needed to raise the copper to the proper level.

TIA

Yes, that shouldn't be an issue.

Will they let "you" test their system so you know for sure the copper level?

Oh, I'm sure they would. Not sure why they wouldn't, since they probably realize I could just test the water the fish was sent home in.
My biggest concern was whether or not the two different copper treatments were "compatible". Wasn't sure if I would need to move the fish back to untreated saltwater for a period, and then start dosing the CopperPower. Still new at this QT'ing thing, but I'm trying to do right.;)

Don't put the store water into your QT and it will be fine. After you acclimate, either lift the fish out and place him into the tank or drain the water out through something like a strainer then add the fish.

To the fish and parasites, copper is copper. Mixing the types won't hurt the fish, but it will make testing and keeping the right amount in your system difficult.
