Hi All,

I am just finishing my first ever QT session using copper. Its been 30 days.

Do I need to acclimate my fish in a container when moving from QT to DT? If Temperature, PH and Salinity are the same, what other parameters should i be concerned about checking?

I will defiantly dip the fish in tank water to remove any trace of copper however should I be acclimating in a container for an hour or 2 before moving them?

Thanks

I’ve always drip acclimate from system to system but not for that long usually around 25 minutes.

depends on the size of your QT, you can also perform water change- add water from your DT while draining QT over the period of a few days. but honestly as long as the temp & salinity are in the same range they'll be just fine.
