I have never moved a tank before
So far,
I have set up a 90l container in my new house (I wil post picture)
I have filled it with fresh about 90% and added the water I had from the water change i did last night for the other 10% I have a light, heater and flow in the container set to same temp as my tank.
what do I do next?
If I just transfer my rock from old tank to new, transfer skimmer from old tank to the container and a few hours later add fish and corals will that be good?
Rock is about 14 months old il post pic of tank and the container
And help appreciated
Thanks

The rock and sand is your filter . Sand not so much. I think your plan is a good one.

Should be fine. The process may disturb some of the activity on the rock but the experiments forum had a thread about washing and scrubbing rock that makes me think that concern is not a big one. Just monitor ammonia every day for a week to make sure there is no spike. Good luck. These things are always stressful!

I have moved my tank 4 or 5 times. I always throw out the sand and use new rinsed sand. But otherwise, I do pretty much exactly what you said. I have never had any major losses.

It's always kind of a pain, but never as bad as I think it's going to be.
