Moving large tank

Hmm cardboard. Sounds good.

Something else i remembered, check the height on any doorways around the stairs youre going down, as well as the stairwell itself. You'll find that when trying to move the tank through, you'll need probably 80-82" height for a 72" tank tipped up on the hand truck. Any lower you will be stuck shimmying it through, makes it really difficult.

This is where mover's blankets or even an old comforter are really handy. Just place tank still strapped to appliance dolly upright on blanket & then just pull blanket through doorways or any areas that are narrow/ low head clearance. Once clear then you can go back to using the dolly. Most appliance dollies will have a built-in securing strap, but another strap sure won't hurt.

Had an emergency situation with my fish, the large ones died due to lack of oxygen I believe. The emergency situation called for removing all the coral and surviving fish. They are in totes that were setup couple days ago. That led to me calling a crew and we moving the tank downstairs ASAP. I did none of what I had initially planned out. Four of us were able to get it down stairs by carrying it. It went well and tank is getting setup currently.

Thanks for all your help.
