I am going to be moving a 240g (96L x 36D x 16H) I cant go through the front door unless I flip the tank on it's back. I will have a table lift to help support, I am just worried of possible damage of placing the tank on the back. Would it be safe to move it that way (obviously with more people than just me)? My other option is to have have it in the garage which will not require flipping the tank on the back.

hi glass or acrylic, enough help carry flat, glass i would worry on 16" side lot of weight ,carried ok set on table imo not good

The tank is glass. The only way to get the tank into the house is on the side. If I have to bring it in flat it has to go in the garage.

Flat is safer but i had a 360g which came through the entry door into the house on its side utilizing those piano strap that you wear. They actually do work
