I’ve had this mushroom in my tank(s) since December. I’ve watched it shrink under bad water conditions and grow big once everything has stabilized. Just about a week ago I had noticed it moved which to my surprise because I had assumed the guy I got it from glued it to the rock. After close inspection to the best I could I had notice that there appears to be 2 more tiny mushrooms in the location the original had been sitting. My question would be is that possible or maybe one of them is some residue from when it was originally sitting there?

That is how they replicate, it’s called pedal laceration. They are capable of “walking” and when they do they leave a tiny piece that grows into another mushroom.

So both pieces I found could be another mushroom? One one them does look like a mini version but the other is in a crevice so it’s hard to tell really. All in all thanks for the information
