So I am in the process of buying my first house, and that means I will need to move my Nuvo 40g Mixed reef to its new home. I've moved tanks before, but have always had a different/new tank in the waiting. My goal would be to do everything in an afternoon, and get the original system back up and running that same night. My only concern is that my aquascape is the live rock with SPS colonies on them. The rocks themselves are quite tall (about 12") and epoxied together. What are some good coral moving/packing methods? What should my biggest concerns be? I'd love to hear from anyone who has gone through a similar experience. Some Details below.

1. Travel distance (10 Miles)
2. Weather (Should be 60 to 70 in San Diego)
3. Tank Inhabitants (1 Flame Angel & 1 Small Leopard Wrasse)
4. 3 large Rock towers covered in all manner of coral. Softies/SPS/LPS.
5. The system is 2 years old, with new sand added 6 months ago.

5g buckets and or brute cans, load rock and water in them and don't make too full/heavy.

Maybe rinse your sand in SW and put in bucket, that just needs to stay damp.

Bags or tupperware to keep corals separate and from touching(they have those disposable tupperware containers)

If you have a brute or 2 those make great holding vessels for fish and coral while setting up, just add a heater and PH.
