Hello everyone! I have had my tank for 2 months now and am trying to get it ready for its move to college! I am not worried about the move as all my fish and corals are hardy and the tank is small.

My plan is to leave 1/4 of the water in the tank to cover the sand bed and the media as to not disrupt the cycle, and then just put my coral frags on their coral rack under the water.

I am moving it into a different room in my house before the move to college so I can get a feel of what works and what doesn’t. The move itself won’t be too bad but I have a goby who LOVES to jump when it’s startled and I’m not sure how to get him out of the tank without him jumping out. Should I leave him and the pistol shrimp in the tank with the lid on when I’m moving it? Because they are bottom dwellers I feel like they’d be fine, but I’m worried about the substrate hurting them.

I have 2 clownfish, but they’ve been netted and taken out before I don’t have a problem with them. It’s my goby that I’m worried about. Do I just get a friend with a baseball glove to catch him or what
