Moving nem

My nem went for a walk yesterday for the first time in 5 months of having it. It went around the tank once and landed right back where it started. It stayed extremely well fixed to the rock the whole time and stayed inflated etc.

Is there something wrong with the chemistry ? No changes in flow, or lighting. Pics show foot- I was excited that it could be splitting but it did not in the end

It was just moving to get happy. They move sometimes. It looks fine.

@DeniseAndy i figured so. It was just interesting to walk and end up right back where it started. Looks great this morning

My magnifica is doing the same thing after my tank upgrade.

As yours is a BTA, it’s likely searching for a suitable crevice within your rock structure to plant and protect its foot (with adequate lighting and flow as well).

Though it’s highly unlikely to happen with a BTA, if an anemone is ultimately unhappy with its mounting options, they may completely dismount the rock and go for a swim. Would be good to have some anemone guards on your powerheads, just in case.

Nope my nems walk all the time. Never seen them in the same spot. Theres one that found a good one but the others change spots all the time. Its a nem thing

Ya it’s got its foot right back where it was super deep in the rock. Still looks happy as ever.

I do have nem guards on at all times.

Just weird out of no where did a loop right back to the same exact spot

Yeah Ive got one that has 4 favorite spots that it moves to each day. They are weird. Annoys my clowns though lol. Then I got one stubborn one on the bottom of my zoa rock that I cant get to move!
