Moving out-no time to cycle- upgrading tank size

I am moving out in less than a month and wont have time to cycle my new tank..

I have two tanks I would like to combine into one new ecosystem. I have a 29gal biocube and a 40gal with liverock and live sand, my new tank will be a 125gal.

Question is.. can I take the sand from both systems and liverock from both and keep the water from them to help boost the cycling? Will the additional water added be like a water change or will it be so much that it wont matter and make it cycle anyways?

I do have a couple corals as well but they tolerate the fluctuations well.

Take the rock, and a a bit of the surface of the sand mixed with new sand and it should all be good. Most people here recommend new sand entirely. There won't be an ammonia issues since your rock is established.

Okay awesome I was worried about that. I will be adding a ton of new sand no worries there! Shes a long one.

Get all new sand. Your rock from your previous tanks will be sufficient to keep ammonia in check. Just don’t add a ton of new fish right away.

You can reuse the sand you dont have to buy new one but if you do reuse it then you would have to wash it. If you just put it back to the new tank all that gunk in there will also be added. I would add the rock and some microbacter 7 to add more beneficial bacteria

Are you going to keep your rock wet during your move with temp control so your established bacteria stay intact? Otherwise there will be die off and a mini cycle.

Yes and i will be moving close by so my ride is like 10mins at most thankfully

I just have to add my current fish after acclimating but thats it
