Moving out of state

I have moved my small tank 5 times locally. Once was just last weekend, so it is still fresh in my mind. I would not attempt an out of state move. If I were you, I would sell what you can and start over when you get there. Dealing with the tank on top of all the stress (and work) of moving is a lot.

I would sell the livestock and tank, but keep equipment so you can set it back up at your leisure once you’re settled into the new place. It’s always nice to get a brand new (ahem, bigger) tank anyways.

Out of state moves can be difficult enough without the pressure of keeping fish and corals alive. Of course, I’m in South Florida so am out of state move is a minimum of 8 hours driving.
