Hello all,

I am moving a reef. I want to use heaters in my car when moving to keep water warm for fish, is this possible? I can’t find any inverters that will keep a heater running. 3 hour trip, upper Midwest so cold. I found 300 watt inverters that plug into cig lighter but apparently can’t use heaters on, thanks for any help!

How much water volume are you planning to move the fish/rocks/etc... in? 5gallon buckets? You should be able to warm up the vehicle, keep it uncomfortably warm and go for it. The movement of the car should provide enough surface agitation for oxigenation enough to get you where you're going. Just get them into and out of the car quickly.

Ya 5 gallon bucket, that sounds like a good plan! I found a pure sine wave inverter that will supposedly work, going to try that otherwise hot car ride it is :)
