Does anyone move snails where you want them to clean? Safe to pull them off where they are and put them where algae is worse? Should have left lights off for a bit longer but, fish purchase came with free zoa colony...ugly stage has arrived.

Well if I was a snail and someone kept messing with me in the daylight, I would probably just go out at night. My snails actually do a fine job all day, but I don’t mess with mine. They tend not to eat any long stuff, so pull as much off yourself as you can, then they will keep it pruned for you.

Ultimately they will go where they want and need to go. You can move them, but they will just go back to where they want to be. :)

Yeah, I don't mean longterm moving them around. I feel longterm they'll do what they want. Just currently three separate rock structures, three snails on one cleaned it pretty well but, one structure had no snails and was looking pretty bad. So my question is more about moving them to the new buffet line, does it hurt them at all pulling them off where they were and placing them where I need them currently.

Lights were off most of the day yesterday, turned on moonlight before bed last night, algae is virtually nonexistent. A few patches still show some brown but, its pretty much gone.
