ive had my 29gal saltwater tank set up for 1mth shy of a year. i have a pretty deep sandbed. my husband is currently setting up a 65gal saltwater tank he has bought live sand but would it hurt to move some of the sand in my tank to his new tank?

you can do this, it can help “seed” his tank with the bacteria and little critters that live in your sand. However, if you have any unwanted critters or algae in your tank it can introduce those too, so just beware of that. I usually use a cup to scoop some out so it doesn’t stir your sand up too much

I'm slowly learning to navigate this site and literally just seen the responses. thanks a bushel! I added a decent size cup to his sandbed and it's been up and running since! I wanted to originally take out a good deal of my sand bc I wanted a more shallow bed but I've just let it be.
