Moving Sump to Basement

To each his own, but also I don't like all the bubbles in DT after maintenance or power outages without a check valve.

That is a nice benefit, I was strictly speaking from using them as a backflow preventer. Best to design it to hold whatever will drain down when things are shut off. But if your system can handle the volume if it fails and you dislike the air bubbles then by all means throw one in there :)

Anyone know of a good BOM or parts list for a sump with refugium? I’m trying to get it designed and bought for an installation project with visiting family over one weekend. I don’t need specific brands, just type of product so I think of everything.

I though it was gonna be less head pressure but when I include the 90’s, the 45’s and the T that goes from 1 1/2” outlet to 2 x 3/4” outputs I gotta be looking at 20 feet. Even though I’m one floor down and 6-8 feet of horizontal.

I like the Reeflo pumps but I just think I’m gonna oversize it to allow me to add some components to the outflow. D.Tank is 300g with a large Bashsea sump.

I just had the Reeflo serviced prior to installing it, I sent it in and the gave it a full rehab. So I know it’s tip top shape.

I would also skip the check valve, I just run the outlets only slightly below the surface so in an outage the back siphon can be handled by the sump.
