Hi.
I need some advices.
I want a move my sump to Garage for easy access and space.
Tank is in living room and piping needs to go up the attic and down to garage.
Temp not and issue (attic it’s climate)
Garage it’s climate too.
Does anyone knows if it’s possible?
Investing on it its not a problem.
I just want to have the tank inside the house and everything else in garage.
Thx

If the sump will not receive the water via gravity, then I am not sure how you intend to have the water go uphill (into the attic) without a pump. And if that is the case (a pump) you will never be able to match the inflow to the sump (pump1) and outflow from sump to DT (pump2).
Am I not understanding your plan correctly?

Hi Jason.
I will keep a 75 g sump underneath the tank just to have a pump up to attic and down sump in garage and another pump returning back to tank.
I’m planning of putting 200g sump in garage.
Tank its 400g

If i understand correctly, the issue you will have is that you will have 2 pumps that will never be (or stay) perfectly synced.

One pump fills the garage sump (via the attic) and one empties it. Even if exactly the same pump, they won’t be perfectly synced to match flow leading to inevitable problems.

If investing into this is not a problem, what's stopping you from bringing the pipes through or in the wall to garage?
Unfortunately tank is not next to garage is in the other side of the house.
And trenching floors its not and option (wife will kill me lol) its a new house.

Only thing that comes to my mind would be to run 2 a/c pressure pumps, one on each end, and utilize optical sensors to operate motorized ball valves(on a secondary outlet) to correct any difference in flow( water height) between main outlets.

Thx,this is like Chinese to me but i will find someone who can follow this idea.

It can be done. I personally wouldn’t do it. Even with the proper sensors it is very risky.

Is going outside the house and around to the garage an option?
I wish, tank is on the middle of living room.
If it can be done i’m open to it.
Attic space is big and have platform for easy walk no need to crawl is very hight
Foam insulation on roof.

Any concerns I have:
Hydrocarbons from exhaust
temperature changes especially during summer
Contaminants
Access from bugs and rodents

Garage not used for cars.
House its new and bugs free with monthly pest company visit and maintenance.
Ac supply and return on Garage keeping same house temp.

As mentioned, it can be done but will require automation. Probably a float system with photo eye or level sensor fail safe. Also, you will burn out pumps a lot faster since it will create many duty cycles.

House layout? There may be a way to make gravity work for you in a bulkhead or wall cavity

That makes sense. Only concern left- Chemical fumes from exterminator
