lets hear your thoughts...I'm moving 3hrs away and will be moving the occupants...coral , rock and 9 fish to a tank that I will set up prior to move. Here's what I have at home running...90 gal DT...100 gal sump...rubbermaid trough....90 gal fuge.....150lbs live rock
I planned on setting up new tank at new house with some of the live rock and the rubbermaid sump.
and for now turn the fuge into the sump at the current place.
once the new setup is running for a week or so moving the remaining contents.
The fish and live rock are 6yrs old
Please thoughts or comments are welcome.

I moved my 180 reef about an hour away to our new house a year and a half ago. Only thing I would say is have a ton of water made and heated and ready to go at the new place if possible.

Good solid plan in place. You know your stuff. :)

The only thing I'd add is if at all possible is to keep your LR submerged in some old tank water.

Thanks ...you are so kind...The live rock will be transported in 35 gal brute cans with water from existing tank...will I need any flow or bubbler for that move to reduce die off?

If submerged for a 3-hour travel period the LR will receive agitation from the movement whilst in route and should require no additional flow. If worried you could pull off the road and stir the water a minute but honestly the submerging fully would be enough to keep dieoff from occurring.

I really like how you have this so well planned.
