So looking to move my 180. I have lots of SPS maybe 60 pcs. And some LPS and a couple of high end shrooms. My rock work was handmade by me. It's epoxy and cemented together. It weighs about 90-100lbs. It's actually kind of scary to move. I was wondering does anyone have a good idea on how to setup for a move and best practices. I have moved tanks before but nothing like this. I was thinking of bagging and tagging all corals and I still need help trying to figure out how to remove rock and transport it.

I moved my 240 twice, my lfs held my corals for about a week so I could take my time getting it set back up. As for the rock once you drain it I would line the bottom with towels and cardboard so if you do drop the rock your tank is safe. I hope whatever you decide to do goes smooth.

sweet rock work! Maybe get a 55 gal brute can and put the rock in with water so you can keep it wet?

I was thinking about that. But Rock work is almost 50" wide. I heard you can put wet paper towels to keep it alive. Not sure. Thanks for the compliment
Here is a pic when I first setup rock

I'm posting a lot of my higher end stuff for sale because I will have heart attack if something happens during the move and my local fish stores don't want to hold any of it beside the basic stuff [emoji17]

Well at least you can replace them if the sales work out. Always stressful to move a reef, also I love your aquascape!!!

How far are you moving it? Across town or into another room? The logistics are quite different for each.

I moved from NM to FL and used cheap coolers with towels for support. The coolers kept the temp stable and prevented 99.9% of the water from sloshing out. Fortunately I arranged for a place to put my tank for a few weeks while the rest of my stuff arrived. The local LFS were happy to help.
