I am planning on installing new flooring and need to move my aquarium. My plan is to temporarily hold everything in a brute trash can with flow, heating and lights running. I want to give the tank a thorough cleaning while it is drained. Any thoughts on running a vinegar or citrus acid bath on this tank to clear out coraline algae build up and other gunk? I plan to make sure it is is completely washed out before returning my livestock. Also considering replacing sand bed.

Sounds like a plan.
Rinse it well after cleaning.
