Hello,
I moved across the country and didn't take my tank for many reasons, one mainly being I couldn't fit the tank with my belongings in my Jeep and I was supposed to be in a temporary space for a month but it extended to longer.
I have someone taking care of my aquarium right now, and we are thinking about shipping everything (cheaper than buying new/used). Since I am not willing to ship 50 pounds over night - what are somethings I can do with the fish until my aquarium gets to me? I have two clown fish that are still very small, and a handful of snails and hermit crabs.
Some brief solutions: I have a 3.5 gallon tank back home that the person holding my fish can keep in (but this seems very small and I wouldn't want the clowns to kill each other), I could set up some 5 gal buckets to keep the fish with me and wait for the tank.
My other worry is that I don't have any cycled water (I could probably get some at my LFS though). But the tank and rocks will all have the algae and such.
