So I am moving my tank to a new stand. It is a 29 gallon tank. The tanks are within 1/2 inch of each other height wise. The top of the new stand is 3/4 inch pine wood but it is removable. I was thinking about draining the tank (putting water in 5 gallon buckets to reuse) pretty much all the way except a few inches and slowly moving the stand it is currently on out from the wall and moving the new stand in its place. Then remove the 3/4 inch pinewood and slide the tank onto the plywood while two people are holding the plywood. After that just slide the pinewood top in place and secure it. I figure the tank would probably be about 125ish lbs so 2 people should be able to hold it for the five seconds that would be needed to move to the stand.
Anything I am not thinking about or does this seem like it would work?
