Hi all

I moved out of my parents house and have an apartment of my own with my girlfriend :) Thankfully the move is only about 20 minutes one way.

Couldn't leave the fish behind, so it gave me an excuse to get some new equipment, which is always fun. Going from a Nuvo 30L to a Nuvo 25 Lagoon. I have the new tank set up in my apartment, stand all built, lights setup, new sand ready.... but now I need to get ready for the move.

I have 3, 5-gallon buckets available which ....won't be enough. I'm thinking about buying distilled water tonight (my brute trash can is about 1/4 full with RO/DI water), mixing about 20 gallons of salt water, and bring it to the apartment tonight...

Tomorrow will just involve bagging the fish, and placing my rock (with coral) evenly distributed through the 3 buckets. Top off the tank with old tank water. Sounds like a solid plan? Or should it be more old tank water. Will be the same salt (Red Sea Pro)

Thanks in advance!

Save as much water as you can from the original tank. Load the fish stuff last at your parents’ and unload it at the new place first. Run carbon in the new tank and watching your ammonia levels. You’re likely to get a small cycle. Do a water change after 48 hours and you should be good to go.
