can anybody tell me how long i can keep my corals and fish in a container , reason the new 150 is going in the same spot as the 75 but first I have to plumb. fill it up cycle it even though am using the same water and the same sand of course clean it first I have about 100 pounds of live rock and using the same sump so I won't loose to much beneficial bacteria all I have to do is fill in the rest of the water .

Put it all in the bath tub, with heaters and lights and powerheads, your good to go until you need to transfer them.

If you have a spare tank, like a 20g. Drain water and put into buckets, move fish into the 20gal with rock and put some of the rock in the buckets as well. Slide the tank over to the side out of the way in the same room.

Fill the tank back up and move the fish back into the system. I like doing it that way and will allow you to take your time. You may have to adjust the room a bit but that is just temporary.

Make sure you have somebody around to help you do this.

am planning on using the same rocks and the 75 gallons of water fore the 75 and just top off with new water from the ocean I can probably get the guy that takes the water to my lfs and pump it in i did a change from my 30 to my 75 and used everything from the 30 in the 75 and yes your right I didn't have a cycle but good news O got home from work and my wife told me I can out it in the living room that means I can take my time with the move
