Moving to a new home need advioce

So i might be moving at the end of the month and i was hoping for some advice on how to successfully move my tank and fish... preferably from people who have experience doing this.. this is my first time moving a tank.

Moving an aquarium is a big job. If the tank is established then its best to keep as much water as you can during the move. The fish and corals can be placed into garbage cans, rubber maid totes or buckets. Heaters and battery operated air pumps should be on hand to maintain oxygen and temperature for the fish and corals. It really depends though on the length of the journey your animals will be taking. Let us know your tank size, stocking level, approximate distance of the move, and your time table to move.

im moving like 45 minutes from where i live now.... i have no coral.. I have a few fish and inverts. with live rock

Coolers with air pump, and heater if needed. Bring as much water as you can. Leave 6" in the bottom of the tank.

Unless you have a limited amount of live rock, I'd ditch the old sand and add new sand. If you take reasonable care the fish should be fine with a 45 minute ride. I'd try and make sure you had whatever replacement water you need ready to go in to the tank at the new location.
