Moving to a new tank

I need help... moving from a 2 year old 30g with a 3-4 inch sand bed. Moving to a 75g without sand or new sand. What should I look out for or what will be my problems leaving the old sand behind?

Once you mix the sand. it will stir up all the detritous. I personally prefer to clean the sand (thorough blasting in the old aquarium) and then reuse it.

I was thinking of leaving the old sand behind in the old tank and do my best not to stir it

I agree I would not use the old sand .. you can buy live sand and also add extra bacteria to the new tank .. there will probably always be a little die off or a small cycle again , but if your using your old rocks still there will be plenty of bacteria there ..
