Moving

I will be moving soon. What's the best steps to prepare for moving my setup.

I have a 55 Fallon reef tank with a 20 gallon sump.

The move is about 5 miles away. Moving from apartment to a house.

That thread has some linked examples of tank moves and how they dealt with the sandbed which was the big liability for the move

Isolate the sensitive animals out first before disturbing bed

Either rinse and replace the bed or just put in a new rinsed bed

Have if possible a 55 gallon Brute of pre-mixed saltwater at your destination. Carrying saltwater 5 miles is a pain that probably isn't worth it.

How long do you anticipate from tear down to setup? Double that time, and you will be close to how long it will really take (something always comes up!)
