Im bout to get married. Which means moving time. I currently have a 14 gallon biocube that I am going to move. What are some tips on how to move the cube? Im relocating an hour and half away. I currently have invertebrates, fish and coral. I also wanted to know if i should take advantage of this and change substrate?

You change the substrate and you basically restart the nitrogen cycle, ammonia spike, everything dies. You get the picture. Try to distrust as much of the same you can as possible. Empty the tank to about 20-30 of water making sure there is a good about 4-5 inches at least of water in above the sand and drive slow. Put the rock in water if you want or wrap it around a lot of towels to keep them damp and then put all the livestock in a bucket or styrofoam box.

even if I go to live sand the cycles will still start all over?

I would pick up some live sand but you will experience a micro cycle. With that small of water volume you could put all of the rocks in 5 gallon buckets and keep them all submerged. That will reduce the die off as much as possible. I just moved two 75 gallons last year and didn't lose any livestock or corals.

Buckets for everything leave sand and a bit of water, try not to stir or shift the sand to much but suck out as much of the nasty water when you get there then add rock and water check #s then add fish, will probably have a small cycle but have chemi pure and purgin ready to stave off the worst of it
