I have this on my MP10 as well, I don't think it's rust, it's more like the pump got hot, and its a burn mark on the plastic.

Discoloration of the ceramic shaft is not unusual, and it's NOT from burning as they don't build up any heat. Given the age, I would contact ecotech and inquire.

I've had 2 mp10s rust. The shaft is ceramic but the magnet rust

Ok I'm be getting in touch with them,I was thinking the steel shift that is within the ceramic one got missed up.Thanks for the replies.
