I've had my MP40's running for a few months and I was wondering how often should I clean the wet side? what have you used that has worked for you?:squigglemouth:

i have extra wetsides, so every once in a while i swap wetsides and soak the one i just pulled in cup of vinegar/water overnight. Then rinse and i have a sparkly new wetside.

great Ideas, how much are those wet sides running new?

when i bought them, i think they were like $45-50, but have gone up since, i think around $65 now (at least last time i looked, used market is always a good place to look).

On my previous reef there was a lot of coralline algae growth, but as long as I pulled the wet side out and scrubbed it with a tooth brush every two weeks it stayed clean. Sometimes I would just turn it off and brush it while it was still in the tank. The fish loved the algae that came off but they could never get near it while it was on normally.
