Hello everyone. I wanted to share my problem Incase anyone else has same issue.
I have 3 used MP40’s (2x eco smart and one quiet drive)
I purchased all three used. I was using two and everything was fine. Then about a month ago, the older ecosmart just has a red flashing light and not working.
When I unplugged and plugged back in it would spin for less then a second and back to flashing light.
After much online research I found ways to reset it. None of those options would do anything, still had flashing light. I tried so many times and nothing.
I’ve been pulling my hair trying to figure it out.
Today just by happen stances- I switched the power cords and all of a sudden it worked!
I check power supplies and found one to be an aftermarket and not from ecotech marine. The output was slightly different.
so long story short: if your having flashing red light and your using aftermarket power adapter you may have same problem.
