Mp 40 settings

Hey reefers getting 2 mp40 for my rsr 425 lps tank what setting would you recommend? And percent would you run it at?

All my corals seem to like long pulse(blue), or reef crest(yellow), I’d start at 30% and see how things react. Are you going to have them face each other from the sides or go on the back wall?

30% or probably less. Lps don’t like tons of flow. They just like a gentle breeze.

I run mine on a VERY short pulse to simulate waves in my tank. Early morning and evenings are lagoon. Here in Florida we have very calm, flat mornings and the waves kick up right after the sun comes up. I try my best to recreate that.

The motor on my gyers are starting to go bad so they don’t run as well as they should

I’d say it depends on your rockwork and how you corals respond. If they suck their tentacles in, you probably need to turn your pumps down a bit.

I’m just using the gyer on the back at low speed to hit the dead spots to get the uneaten food up into the overflow

Mo more than 50% for Lps in my experience.
