These are still fairly new to the market. You can sometimes find a used one (or two) on the sale threads as folks break down their tanks. However, the deals on these are few and far between. It is a top notch powerhead and it comes with a pretty hefty price tag (unfortunately). I have not seen many sales with online vendors.

They are Map(ped), anyone retailer selling for less than the MAP price or allowing it to be included with a discount can lose their ability to buy more of any of the companies products for up to 6 months, so you will not likely find it for under the map price unless a store is closing or a private individual is selling theirs. I don't know if that helps.

MAP pricing is "advertised" price, I believe vortechs and pretty much any other companies products can be sold for whatever the retailer wants, they just cant "advertise" it for lower than a minimum price.
