Its primaily going to be a LPS/Softy tank at this stage I'm I really don't want to spring the extra coin for the MP40. Will this work long term for a 40b setup. Any experience with this setup? Plus why is the flow rate the same for one pump vs two on Marine Depot?

Also if you had to choose would you get a Tunze ATO or the MP10 first?

It will work, I have a lot more flow in my 40 breeder but it is primarily sps. How about an mp20?

I had an MP10 on a 40B and worked fine for me, I had it mixed, mostly LPS though.

I would suggest going straight MP40 if MP20 is a possibility.

Found a MP 20, but is the new MP10 that much better with the two new modes vs the older Mp20 with less modes?

I'd just go with the mp10, I like the wetside design better, smaller footprint and is enough...

I agree,it would be enough for LPS and softies.

One thing, you might look into, they sell upgrade kits for MP20's.If I were you,I would buy a used MP20 and buy the upgrade kit,it would be a bit more than a MP10,but if you ever upgraded, you wouldnt need to buy a new vortech.

Just a thought!
