I have some older MP10's that we're upgraded to Ecosmart drivers in 2013 or 2014. Anyways I'm guessing the actual motor is from 2010 ish and these things are super loud!

My question is if I upgraded to the QD drivers would it actually quiet them all that much? Or is that motor too old to make quiet?

Thanks in advance.

Probably not as much as you like. I have a couple older mp40's that I upgraded the drivers on and they are still louder than my newer non QD 60's.
The new out of the box QD's are SOOO much quieter than any of my older MP' regardless of size.

I upgraded some MP40's that were made in 2013 and I was amazed at how much it helped. If your noise is from the electrical hum of the motor windings the upgrade can help. If it is a rotational noise then the upgrade will not help.

Its for sure coming from the motor. The wet side seems fine. I think i will try this. Now i just need to find out how and where to get bearings?

My mp10s are part quite. Though I have nothing to compare it to. The o my time I hear so.thing is when the magnets are out of ailment or at a 100% nutrition mode

Well on the mp40 you have to upgrade all parts to get the true QD. Not just the driver. The mp10 and MP60 only need a driver upgrade.

Easy way to test. Remove the wet side and hold the dry side in your hand and power it on. Turn it up and see how loud it is.

Got the bearings pulled out. But have no idea what size they are. It doesn't have any markings on it. I don't think I have anything that measures millimeters. Any ideas?
